IMPROVEMENTS TO RICHMOND-BARNARD CASTLE BUS CORRIDOR

As part of their Local Transport Plan, North Yorkshire County Council is committed to improving bus infrastructure facilities for passengers who use public transport.

Improvements to the Richmond-Barnard Castle bus corridor have been programmed for this financial year. NYCC have carried out an initial audit of the corridor and have identified several areas in need of updating and improving.

The plans for the individual stops within this area are are as follows:

a] Provide hard standing at stops

b] Refurbish shelters where necessary

c] Install new bus stop flags, poles and time-table cases.

Where work is planned on shelters not in the ownership of  NYCC, they are not proposing to adopt the shelters for maintenance or insurance purposes.

Comments are welcome from any residents who must respond by October 9th
