Minutes of the Ordinary Meeting held in the JRS on Monday, October 19th, 2009

Minutes from last meeting accepted as true copy. HA invited comments.
 

CLEANING

Mandy called JV tonight and is coming to discuss on 20th Oct.

 

FIREALARM

Revised quote from Stephen Richardson = £1875 (incl. VAT)

JRS and V Hall will split 50/50.

JRS is responsible for a fire alarm and that is why we are asking JRS for funds from Big Lottery Funding.

HA to propose the above at meeting tomorrow.

Committee proposes to employ Stephen Richardson as is local and reliable.

 

YORVENTURE

The application did not arrive at Yorventure and, despite being sent Recorded Delivery, was not returned to sender.  A second application was sent as soon as this was discovered, Next Day Delivery but the deadline was missed by a couple of days.

Our application will be considered at the next session (January 2010).

JV to contact Charitable Trust and Major Wharton informing them that the application has been delayed.

 

CARBOOT

£607 raised for funds. Thank you everyone for your help and support.

 

CHRISTMAS COFFEE MORNING

Thursday 3rd December 10-12pm

Coffee, Mincepies, Raffle, Cakes, Cards, Knitted items & Christmas Gifts

£2 entry to incl. free refills.

Members to provide prizes for main prize hamper (items agreed) and one other gift for raffle.  SH to ask Angel, JV to ask White Swan for meal vouchers.

JV to advertise.

 

QUIZ NIGHT

VH will ask her friends if they are available on Thursday 18th March/Friday 19th March or another suitable date. Otherwise Committee will run.

 

FINANCE

Expenses:         £77.29 (Scotch Corner Catering for repair to Hot Water Boiler).

£58.29 to Shaun for window repair.

An account has been sent to host of party at which incident occurred but it has not been paid. BW will send reminder.

Current             £1511.38

Deposit            £6083.95 (includes Major Wharton’s cheque for £1000)

*HA has asked BW for unit usage year on year to see if isolating the overhead heaters has made a difference.
