Churchyard Extension Fundraising Update (1)

On Sunday 23rd September 26 willing walkers met outside the church gates on a mild afternoon to take part in the sponsored walk to raise funds towards the new churchyard extension.
It was lovely to see so many people and it seemed everyone enjoyed the walk. We walked up to Whashton where we had a liquid refreshment break then back via Hartforth to the Village Hall where refreshments were served.
We would like to thank everyone involved. The walkers and their sponsors, planners of the walk, first aider (thankfully not needed!), leaders and chasers at the back and of course
Richard Watts waiting at Whashton with drinks and the ladies in the Village Hall and all those who provided refreshments. Thank You!
A total of £916.00 has been raised from this event.

Churchyard Extension Fundraising Update (2)

On Friday 5th. October following the Harvest Festival Supper in the Village Hall the delayed auction of items was held.
Norman Brown kindly offered his services as auctioneer and we thank him for that. Thanks also go to Barbara Conway who acted as secretary/treasurer and gathered in all the money.
17 items went under the hammer which raised £615.00.
Thank you again to all those who donated items and of course to those who won the items and helped raise the total.
